Gutturnio is one the first historical Italian D.O.C. (denominazione di origine controllata / controlled denomination of origin), 1967. The production is localized on the hills near Piacenza, the last town in Emilia Romagna region, close to Lombardy. Gutturnio is the most important wine of the area, the denomination “Classico” confirms it is origin in the historical and most important area of vinification: Ziano Piacentino and part of other 8 small villages around it.
The denomination “Riserva” give us the information about the ageing, much higher than a standard Gutturnio. With Pleione it is done for 20 months in oak barrels and, at least, other 6 months in bottle.

Refosco dal peduncolo rosso is a local variety produced in the extreme North-East of Italy, in Friuli Venezia Giulia, near Slovenia. This is a famous region for wine and its historical and ancient production. In this area there is an intense production with different International and local varieties. The region is between high mountains and sea, the unique mix of air and terrain give a characteristic result for all wines, minerality and slightly salinity are often part of the complexity of wine.
